Intensive Review Course 2024

The Intensive Review Course is designed to support the learner’s self-assessment of individualized strengths and weaknesses of entrustable professional activities (EPAs) for further development to improve practice outcomes in patient palliative and hospice care delivery.

This course is planned for in-person attendance with supplemental on-demand self-study accredited activities for comprehensive study. The course will be recorded and planned to be released to registered attendees when available from the post-recording production team.

Learning Outcomes

Learners will self-report the ability to apply, analyze and evaluate the following:

  • Individualized strengths and weaknesses of entrustable professional activities (EPAs) for further development to improve practice outcomes in patient palliative and hospice care delivery.
  • Diagnostic and clinical decisions that have important consequences for patients and families experiencing serious and complex illnesses.

Continuing Education Credits
The American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

The AAHPM designates this live activity for a maximum of 18 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Successful activity completion includes attesting to meaningful participation in the activity and completion/submission of activity evaluation within the time frame designated.

The AAFP has reviewed the Intensive Review Course and deemed it acceptable for up to 18 Live AAFP Prescribed credits. Term of Approval is from 08/08/2024 to 08/10/2024.

Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

AMA/AAFP Equivalency- AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.

Registrants will receive access to 5.0 CME/MOC credits available as supplemental on-demand content for additional BluePrint comprehensive self-study to be available as pre-study on July 1, 2024. Reports will be pulled weekly to import new registrant access to the on-demand course materials.

By completing the evaluation component of the activity, you give AAHPM permission to share your data with ACCME and any applicable certifying board(s).

Maintenance of Certification (MOC)
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 18 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.

Evaluation period closes September 30, 2024, at 11:59pm CT for claiming MOC credits.
