Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Fellowship Recruitment: Candidate Selection
The AAHPM Fellowship Training Committee, as part of its mission to promote and support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, is pleased to present the second in a series of webinars on how to foster DEI in fellowship recruitment.
Strategies for programs developing a rank list using a holistic approach will be shared and include giving individualized consideration to every applicant, operational guidance for mission-driven, diversity-oriented processes, and applying a balanced approach to assess the experiences, attributes, competencies, and academic metrics of each candidate. Take advantage of this opportunity to engage with peers and plan the next steps to advance your program and the field.
